Adams County Declares State of Emergency

Beginning the evening of February 15th, 2017 rapid melting of the area snow pack began, continuing throughout the next several days. This rapid melting of snow resulted in severe flash flooding which caused extensive damage to roadways and private property.

At a regular meeting of the Board of County Commissioners, it was determined that the public and private response resources of Adams County would not be sufficient to meet the requirements needed to mitigate and alleviate the effects of this disaster.  As such, the Adams County Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan was activated via Resolution R-015-2017.
